Course Description
DYNAMIC PRESENTATIONS
“The human brain starts working the moment you are born and never stops until you stand up to speak in public.”
With these words, George Jessel captured a sentiment people feel their entire lives: they dread the very thought of speaking in public. The original Book of Lists lists speaking before a group as the single worst human fear. (Fear of dying is sixth!)
For those who want to conquer this common fear and those who already speak in front of groups but would like to do so with greater ease and effectiveness, this course can help! Designed to put participants at ease while challenging them to apply concepts they’re learning (yes, by actually speaking), this course gives participants essential tools for affecting others with their sales presentations, public speeches, presentations at meetings, or other speaking opportunities. Participants receive solid feedback from video taping, self-assessments, peer reactions, and instructor critiques on their speaking performances along with a combined workbook and reference manual. Satisfied clients report successful sales after this workshop.
Dynamic Presentations will provide you with tips that help you present more competently and confidently! During this workshop, you’ll learn how to:
· Fend off panic (Ugh!)
· Get clear about your purpose: informative and persuasive
· Capture and keep audience attention while meeting their needs in a variety of speaking situations
· Open with interest and close with power to ensure they’ll remember what you said and how you said it
· Use The Power of Three to create and organize your talking points
· Read and work a room by responding to your audience’s body language
· Design and use easy visual aids for your audience and you (they’re your notes!)
· Use movement, gestures, eye contact, and vocal variety in impressive new ways
· Plan, practice, and polish your public speeches, internal meeting contributions, sales presentations, and other speaking opportunities
· Receive solid feedback from recordings, self-assessments, peer reactions, and instructor critiques
· Redo segments of your presentation for instant reinforcement of your new skills
· Speak well impromptu—on your feet or your seat
· Involve and engage your audience, especially virtually
· Develop a presenting reputation generating enthusiastic audience response when your name appears on an agenda
These proven tips help you experience decreased fear along with increased
competence and confidence when designing and delivering dynamic presentations!
